Grace Period Extension of 4th Quarter Real Estate, Personal Property and Motor Vehicle Taxes
The Town Manager has extended the grace period to pay the April 30th 4th Quarter Tax Bills to June 1, 2020. As with our normal grace period, all payments must be both postmarked and received by us by the grace period date to be considered on time.

Failure to Receive Tax Bill
Failure to receive a tax bill does not excuse the nonpayment of the tax or affect its validity or any proceedings for the collection thereof, according to Rhode Island General Laws, RIGL 44-7-7.
Installment Due Dates
Installments are due by the last day of the following months:
July, October, January and April.
A three (3) business day grace period will immediately follow the last day of each installment period. All payments mailed must be postmarked by the quarter end due date and received by the end of the 3rd business day of the grace period; otherwise, the payment will be considered late and penalties will be assessed.
