Mission:
The Westerly Information Technology Department will support the general government operations through the use of high quality technology and innovative solutions.

Department Description:
The Information Technology Department provides technology solutions and services utilized by general government operations. The department is responsible for hardware support, managing online services, system administration, long range technology planning, software integration, website management and management of the geographic information system.
2015 - 2016 Accomplishments:
• Deployed IT call tracking system
• Deployed custom process automation solutions 
• Upgrade of animal shelter software
• Deployed system virtualization platform
• Complete GIS long range plan
• Network hardware and security upgrade
• Deployed Beach Credit Card Solution
• Improved network communication speed

2016 – 2017 Accomplishments
• Implemented a new E-mail service
• Deployment of new town website
• Migration of all user data to new network
• Deployment of new online GIS service
• Deployment of new offsite backup service
• Town Hall security camera upgrade
• Deployment of Building E-permitting
• GIS planimetric data creation
• Fuel management system upgrade
• Completed index of all filed surveys

• Council chambers audio upgrade
• Deployment of time and attendance system

2017 – 2018 Objectives
• Phone system upgrade for Town Hall, Public Works and Water Department
• Implement document management solution to reduce paper
• Rewire town hall data network
• Catch basin/drainage system inventory and GIS data creation
• Deploy remote environment monitoring hardware for IT equipment
• Improve processes for minute and agenda posting
