I'm a new owner of a piece of property - will I automatically receive a bill?

Tax bills on newly acquired properties will be sent to the owner of record (as of December 31.) Only if requested by the new owner will it be mailed. Our normal schedule for mailing all bills is late-June. Any person requesting copy of a bill after this date must contact the tax office at taxinfo@westerlyri.gov or 401-348-2523 or 401-348-2524, and a copy will be mailed.
