Description

The Zoning Board is established within the Town Charter with duties outlined within the Town's Zoning Ordinance pursuant to RI State Law.  Consisting of seven (7) members, with five (5) full members and two (2) alternate members, the Zoning Board is responsible for hearing applications for Variances, Special Use Permits, and Appeals in accordance with the Town's Zoning Ordinance.  The Zoning Board also functions as the Board of Appeals (as necessary) to hear appeals of decisions of the Planning Board or the Administrative Officer on matters associated with land development and subdivision projects.
