Westerly Animal Shelter Wellness Clinic

About the Clinic
Westerly Animal Shelter Wellness Clinic is pleased to have Veterinarian Dr. John Turco providing care for your pet. We have a quality facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient.  Not to be confused with a low income clinic, this is a low cost clinic open to anyone.  We encourage all pet owners to be affiliated with a full service veterinary clinic that can provide services that require hospitalization, emergency, and complex diagnostics.

Once a year, you should bring your pet in for an annual physical exam, which may include vaccinations and diagnostic blood tests for such diseases as heart worm and feline leukemia.  Please bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet clinic. It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts. If you have something like this, share it with our team. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important and we will work with whatever information you have.

Our appointment book is computerized which allows you to make appointments for your pet.  Emergencies are best brought to a local animal emergency facility.  If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call full service veterinary hospitals.

Our clinic hours are 2-7pm on Thursdays.

We require a 15 minute appointment for each pet, so if you are scheduling multiple pets for the same evening, please be sure to book each pet for an appointment.
