Removing & Install Water Meters Seasonally

A seasonal water account means we remove and reinstall your water meter in the fall and spring respectively. Additionally, these bills come out annually versus bi-annually. Either the property owner or their private plumber is responsible for calling in the removal and installation of a meter for winterizing the home. Call the water department at 401-348-2559 to inquire about becoming a seasonal water account.

If you have us remove your water meter and reinstall it on a seasonal basis, please call us at 401-348-2559 at least 48 hours in advance. You must call and speak to office personnel directly and NOT leave a message on the answering service. We can not guarantee setting or removing a meter based on a message as we may have questions for you. If you leave a message and do not hear back from us please call again.  


The charge for this service is $100.00 to remove and $100.00 to install, and you will be billed on an annual basis in January of the following year. (Please note a rate increase as of 7-1-21)
